To create awareness among young generation about ill effects of addiction to bad habits, a man has travelled 1lakh 70 thousand Kilometers.  That too on his bicycle!

Mr.Amandeep Singh khalsa from Bangalore started ‘Aman Shanti Cycle Yathra’ on January 1, 2008 and entered Hubli city today.

He is completing his ‘yathra’ in Bangalore during next week.

“During my 6 years cycle yathra, I have visited more than 2500 places and interacted with  lakhs of people. I am happy that many young people who were addicted to smoking, Drinking, Gutka, Lottery and various other bad habits have taken an oath to quit bad habits” says   Amandeep.

Amandeep is working as a teacher in Bangalore’s Gurudwara’s  social service  wing and Sikh community has given complete support  for his noble cause.

He is proud to have addressed gathering of students at 250 schools and colleges across the country. He has visited 12 Jyothir lingas and visited almost all the states.

He travelled 100 to 120 Kms per day and took shelter in temple premises, bus stand, under a tree on many nights. He carries all his belongings in a box weighing 50 kgs, including a stove to prepare his own food.

In order to obtain Guinness record for his endeavor, his well-wishers in Maharashtra are submitting all the necessary details to the authorities concerned, soon after his successful completion of Yathra.
