ENARADA,Bangalore, November 4, 2013:

Former CM and KJP president B.S.Yeddyurappa, who started Dharana on October 31 announced today that his agitation will continue until Congress Government fulfills his two demands.

Addressing a press meet at the agitation venue in front of Mahatma Gandhi Statue near Anandrao Circle, Yeddyurapa said that he has dropped the idea of laying siege to Vidhana Soudha but continue with his dharna instead.

Yedddyurappa is  asking the Government to modify the present ‘Shadi Bhagya’ scheme  which provides financial support of Rs.50,000 to poor Muslim bride  and extend the same to poor women from all caste/ religion who are about to be married.

APL card holders are not getting any subsidy on the grains they purchase through fair price shop and Yeddyurappa is demanding restarting the subsidy for the benefit of poor people possessing APL cards.

“Protesting on behalf of poor people is my second nature.  I will not rest until Government pass the favorable orders on both the issues” Yeddyurappa told journalists.

To put pressure on the Government, B.S.yeddyurappa is planning to arrange a huge protest with over one lakh people participating in it on November 24  at Belgaum where the next session is going to held from November 25 onwards.

While Yeddyurappa is sitting on Dharna to extend 'Shadi Bhagya' scheme to all poor women, Muslim women in Mysore, today hold banners to thank CM for implementing the scheme.
