National Body Building Championship -2013

Bangalore, March 9, 2013:

The Sixty first national body building championship-2013 will be held at Udupi on  15th  and 16 th  March, at Shamilee convention center.

 “This championship will be held in memory of T.R.Chanrdashekar hegde, a reputed body builder at national level from karnataka who passed away recently” said T.R.Manjunath hegde, chairman, Indian fitness and body builders federation, in a news conference.

He said, Manjunath hegde sports foundation dedicated to promote sports in karnataka, during three decades, organized several national championship in athletics, weight lifiting and body building, credit of organizing first Indo- Pakistan championship at Bangalore in 1992, and world body building and fitness championship in 2004 which attracted 340 body builders from 40 countries which was world met in the country was a grand success.

2013 championship attracted 250 body builders from all over the country,  including 60 participants from home state, for the titles Bharath Uday (novices), Bharath kishore (juniors), Bharath kumar (youths), Bharath kesari (masters) and Bharath shree (seniors). Indian team will be selected on the performance of this meet for the Aisa- Pacific championship in Philippine, 2nd May, NAC world championship, North Cyprus on 31, May.

The foundation is planning to organize India- Pakistan meet during June and WABBA world championship in December, 2013, at Bangalore with the co-operation of the federation, Manjunath said.
