Preparation for Grand Mysore Dasara (Nada Habba) is in full swing

ENARADA, Mysore , August 27,2013:

Government is seriously preparing for the success of upcoming nine days Dasara Festivals (Nada Habba) in Mysore, starting from October 5 to 14.

After chairing the high level meeting to review arrangements for Dasara Festivals, today, District In charge minister, V.Srinivasa Prasad said that Government has already released INR 10 Crores for smooth conduct of  Dasara.

Speaking to journalists, Srinivasa Prasad said that national and international artists will participate in the music festival which will be organised in front of the famous Mysore palace.

As many as 31 attractive tableaux depicting all the districts of the state is the highlight of the grand final Dasara procession on October 14, he added.

The yuva Dasara, which was cancelled last year due to drought situation will be held this year and an opportunity will be provided  to  artists who wish to participate in the rural dasara  every day, he explained.

He said a food street and handicrafts shops of will be setup in the mysore dasara exhibition besides a separate food festival will be held at scouts and guides grounds from October 5 .

A week long Flower show   will be held at curzan park in front of the mysore palace.

In order to help visitors to watch the various programmes in different places across the city, a Mini bus service will be introduced.  A dasara website will be inaugurated on August 30, he added.
