The congress president Rahul Gandhi admits his mistake that he lied about the Supreme Court observation in the Rafale Matter. Today he expressed regret and clarified to Supreme Court that attributing the ‘Chowkidar Chor hai’ jibe to the apex court observation ‘was in the heat of the moment’.

Rahul Gandhi, who filed an affidavit in response to the apex court’s April 15 order, said he had made the statement in the heat of political campaigning which has been misused by his opponents. He said he had no intention to lower the dignity of the apex court.

Rahul Gandhi while addressing a press conference after filing his nomination papers in Amethi on April 10, claimed that the apex court has “made it clear” that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had “committed a theft”.
