Union Home Minister Rajanath Singh paid a visit to enquire the health of KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta at Bhubaneswar on Friday.Mr Singh was surprised as to how Dr Samanta was already back to work despite getting injured in an accident and wished him a speedy recovery.

He also told Dr Samanta that he would soon visit the KISS campus (the world’s largest tribal school that houses 25,000 students by providing free residential education from KG to PG).
Dr Samanta had met with a road accident on February 4. Despite getting operated for his left hand, Samanta started resuming work in a matter of few days and started attending office regularly.
Dr Samanta said, “I am very grateful to our respected Home Minister, Sri.Rajnath Singhji for taking time out to meet me personally. He expressed his concern about my health and wished me a speedy recovery. He also conveyed his best wishes for the students of KISS. He expressed his desire to visit KISS and said that such initiatives for tribal upliftment and welfare can be an ideal solution to the problem of extremism in the rural areas of our country.”
