The Regional judicial conference which concluded today emphasised on utilising the technology for speeding up the judicial process in the country and many other factors including emphasising on finding out the  truth in every case rather than ritually following the law.

The legal luminaries actively participated in the three day event and imparted their experiences to delegates.

N.Kumar, High court judge and the president of Karnataka Judicial Academy mentioned that  the legal fraternity should embrace technology to excel in the work. He  emphasised on evaluating each case with a clear conscience.

“We are only talking about law, and doing justice. Justice in accordance with law. But in the process sometimes we are not going after the truth.  If we are not trying to find out the truth and we are only worried about the law and quantum of justice, probably the ultimate product which comes out of your exercise may not be  real justice,” said N.Kumar.

He was speaking at the valedictory function of   the Regional Judicial Conference (South Zone) on “Strengthening Justice Delivery System: Tools & Techniques”.

The event was Jointly organised by High Court of Karnataka, Karnataka judicial Academy, Bengaluru and National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, and held between February 27, 2015 and March 1, 2015 at Karnataka Judicial Academy, Crescent House, Crescent Road, Bengaluru.
