Mangalore ,February 1, 2013: RSS unit of Mangalore is celebrating Swami Vevekanda’s 150th Year birth year in a unique way by organising a mega convention of swayam sevaks at Kenjaru Grounds , near Bajpe Airport, Mangalore on 3rd February between 4.30pm and 7.30pm.
Sarasanghachalak of RSS Dr. Mohan Rao Bhagwat will address the gathering .
The Mangalore branch of RSS includes Dakshin Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu districts of Karnataka and few hamlets of Kasargod district of Kerala state.
Swayam sevaks of Mangalore are dedicated themselves in social service projects ranging from Education to health and agriculture to co-operative sectors. They are also known for implementing Gram Vikas, the schemes on rural development .
Around 1 lakh people are likely to participate in the mega event.
