Hubli, February 10 ; Shri Ram Sena (SRS) which is known for working towards serving and protection of Hindu Dharma, today urged the Karnataka Government to impose ban on celebrating Valentine’s day in the state.

In order to send the strong message that SRS strongly oppose Valentine’s Day, members of the SRS , today, burnt the effigy of young lovers in Hubli, as a token of protest against indulging in celebrating Valentine’s Day.

It can be recalled that in order to put an end to observe Valentine Day event which according to SRS is an anti-Indian culture, members of SRS were allegedly responsible for the violent activities in the past including burning Valentine greeting cards, threatening to marry off young couple roaming together on valentine’s day and infamous Mangalore pub attack .

Enraged people from all over the country joined ‘ The Pink Chaddi Campaign’ to send pink underwear’s to the Chief of SRS, Pramod Muthalik, condemning the attitude of SRS. However SRS had clarified that it will continue to oppose Valentine’s day as it is an attack on the culture of India.
