Dharwad, February 15 : Karnataka University , Dharwad as part of its 63rd Convocation ,conferred honorary doctorate to Union Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjun Kharge , CM Jagadish Shettar, actor turned politician Ambareesh and Senior Librarian K.S. Deshpande at a function held at the Gandhi Bhavan Auditorium today.
Eight Postgraduate students received Gold Medals from Vice-President of India , Hamid Ansari. While delivering a convocation address Hamid Ansari felt that Universities in India should give priority for the research activities in order to compete with the global leaders.
