Bangalore, March 16, 2013:
Vijaya Bank opened its 1338th branch in Velakkalnatham and 1339th branch in Puthukoil in Chennai.
The two newly opened branches were formally inaugurated by K.R.Shenoy, Executive Director, Vijaya Bank.He reiterated that Vijaya Bank is committed to provide the banking services to unbanked villages and ensure inclusive growth for all.
On the occasion, the bank initiated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities at Velakkalnatham village by adopting a girl student, Ms. A Bhuvaneshwari, for providing financial assistance to support her
education till graduation level and donating electric fans to Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School in the village.
Vijaya bank has been one of the major nationalised banks in the country clocking several milestones and fuelling nation’s growth.
