JNNURM projects to mysore city worth of Rs 1299 crores

ENARADA, Mysore, July 19,2013:

The State level steering committee (SLSC) of Jawaharalal Nehru Urban renewal mission (JNNURM) has approved 19 projects worth of Rs 1299 crores to the Mysore city.

The meeting was held last evening at Bangalore under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramiah was attended by all four MLAS of Mysore city, deputy commissioner C. Shika, Ramesh, corporation commissioner and Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

According to the press release issued by the district administration here today, city will get additional 500 buses worth of Rs 211 crores besides upgradation of kSRTC depots in the city at the cost of Rs23,37 crores, under this project.

The project includes providing comprehensive UGD scheme for Mysore city worth of Rs 408.50 crores. Augmentation of 50MLD melapura water supply scheme phase III to mysore city from Cauvery river at the cost Rs 75.60 crores besides improvement  of belagola water supply scheme from Cauvery river worth of Rs 91.30 crores.

MUDA will take up Construction of additional Road Under Bridges (RUB) – 05 Nos along Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Mysore for free flow of traffic- worth 8089 Lakhs. Construction of ORR Grade Separators – 05 Nos. at Major intersections of ORR to provide fast, safe and signal free movement of traffic- worth 11968.10 Lakhs and Proposal for Sky walks – 02 Nos. in Outer Ring Road – worth 745.84 lakhs.
