ENARADA, Mysore, August 16, 2013:

The brave act by A.K.Subramanya and his son A.S Sudarshan Koushik  helped the police to recover a whopping 1.199KG gold jewellery worth Rs. 42.3 Lakhs from a Chain snatcher.

A big time chain snatcher 30 year old  Dharmendra Prasad was caught by the father and son team on August 6, 2013 when Prasad was trying  to escape after snatching a chain from a woman in Vijayanagar.

Acknowledging their support, City Police Commissioner Dr. M.A. Saleem felicitated father and son today in the Press Meet.

Saleem informed that the chain snatcher was a JD(S) youth leader who  had come from an affluent family but taken to crime to lead a luxury life. “By nabbing him 29 chain-snatching cases have been solved” Saleem added.
