Leading youth brand Café Coffee Day (CCD), hosted an exciting afternoon with the players from Bengaluru Football Club (BFC) where they announced their alliance with the professional football club.
This was held at the popular CCD outlet at Lavelle Road today. CCD will promote the I League – the country’s top tier football league – across its cafes and are also the official café partner of the club that will be selling tickets at select outlets. The event was attended by players from BFC, Sunil Chhetri and Robin Singh and Coach, Ashley Westwood to celebrate the newly entered alliance.
Speaking about the association, K. Ramakrishnan, President Marketing, Café Coffee Day, said, “This is our endeavour to support football and create opportunities to popularize this fantastic sport in India. We are happy to support the I-League in our cafes and attract young football enthusiasts to access tickets at their favourite hangout.”
Mustafa Ghouse, COO of Bengaluru FC added, “We have embarked on a very special journey to bring change to football in Bangalore city and even the country. The response from the people of this city to Bengaluru FC has been tremendous to say the least and it can only get bigger and better from here. The club’s alliance with Cafe Coffee Day gives us a wonderful platform to further our endeavor of promoting the sport in the state.”
Members of the club – fondly referred to as ‘Friends of Coffee’, set the pulse thumping with a fun quiz – “Football & Frappe”. The winners took away exciting CCD-BFC hampers for prizes. The two players and Coach, who were part of the interactive afternoon, also shared their favorite ‘coffee’ moments spent at Cafe Coffee Day with the audience.
