Nitesh Estates Limited, a leading real estate company, today announced the appointment of Jagdish Capoor as an independent non-executive director. Capoor, the former chairman of HDFC Bank, will be director on Nitesh Estates Limited effective 14 March, 2013.
Capoor brings with him a wealth of knowledge regarding the banking and financial sector, having worked at the Reserve Bank of India for 39 years and retired as Deputy Governor of the Bank besides having served as the Chairman of HDFC Bank Ltd.
Capoor’s other assignments include serving on the Board of Directors of the Indian Hotels Co Ltd, Non Executive Chairman of Manappuram Finance Limited, Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.
He also held roles on Academic Advisory Board of Asian Business School and as a Chairman of Governing Board of the Derivatives Segment of the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd.
He is a Fellow of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance and holds a Masters of Commerce from University of Agra.
