ENARADA, Udupi, August 14, 2013:
Personal assistant to Udupi-Chickmagalur Member of Parliament (Loksabha) Jayaprakash Hegde is believed to have committed suicide by hanging this morning.
The body of Jagannnath (48) was found hanging from a ceiling fan from a guest house in Chickmagalur. Jagannath is said to have arrived in the guest house on August 13 and was allotted room no. 4 in the guest house.
The staff of the guest house had to force open the door of his room when he failed to open the door despite repeated knocks.
Soon after, information was sent to the police and to J P Hegde. His family members were also informed about his suicide. It is believed that Jagannath was saddled with monetary problems which might have prompted him to take his own life.
