Mangalore, April 13, 2013:
Two luxury cruise ships namely M V Legend of the Seas with 1707 passengers and 795 crew and M V Pacific Princess with 585 passengers and 378 crew arrived at New Mangalore Port on Saturday, April 13, 2013.
Legend of the Seas which had passengers from about 40 countries including those from US, Canada and UK arrived from Cochin. Pacific Princes with passengers from US and UK arrived from Phucket (Thailand).
These were the 3rd and 4th ships to call at NMPT this financial year. Another cruise ship is expected to call at NMPT on April 15, 2013. About 2000 passengers and crew of these cruise ships opted to venture out and watch places of interest in and around Mangalore. Local tour operators made arrangements for their tour depending on what they opted for. The ships are expected to sail to Goa this evening./ENN
