To encourage tourism between Karnataka and China, a unique photo exhibition ‘ Beautiful China’ held in NammaBengaluru.
The exhibition showcasing Chinese places and history was organised by India – China Friendship Association (ICFA) to commemorate the 70th anniversary of The people’s Republic of China.
Taking a tour of the photo exhibition, V Bhaskaran, general secretary of ICFA (National and Karnataka chapter) said that Karnataka and China had great partnership and Karnataka in general and Bengaluru, in particular, was very popular among Chinese.
He cited the examples of ‘Sister-State-Province agreement’where Karnataka had signed with the Provincial Government of Sichuan
(People’s The Republic of China) to exchange ideas of interests and mutual goodwill.

Similarly, Chengdu and Bengaluru have also agreements of being sister cities.
“Karnataka has a good tie-up with Chinese provinces and no other state in India can boast of such relationship,” he said adding that China was luring a large number of Indian studies for higher studies and there was no language barrier.
